Hastings College Women's Soccer Coach Ted Flogaites worked with Gretna Soccer Club for the last two years on an ad-hoc basis. Ted played a major role in the most recent Camp the College Showcase Summer Camp - Taste of Pre-Season. He has also ran various sessions for various teams throughout the year.
Coach Flogaites enters his third season as head coach of the Lady Broncos after guiding them to a 14-6-1 record and a 2nd place finish in the conference as well as an appearance in the NAIA National Playoffs for the first time in the program's history.
Coach Flogaites comes to Hastings College from the College of the Southwest (Hobbs, NM) where he served as the Head Coach for one year. He took the program to their best year in school history going 17-3 on their way to the Red River Athletic Conference championship. In addition to winning the conference he also led the team to their first ever Region VI Title and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. Coach Flogaites was named Red River Athletic Conference Coach of the Year as well as Region VI Coach of the Year. He was also named NSCAA/Adidas Central Region Coach of the Year in 2006.
Prior to being at the College of the Southwest, Coach Flogaites was the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. While at Lambuth University he led the team to an 11-4-3 mark in 2005, the most wins in school history for the women's soccer program. In 2005 it was the schools first ever appearance in the regional tournament. He led Lambuth to three Post-Season Conference Tournaments in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
Before going to Lambuth University, Coach Flogaites was the Head Women's Soccer Coach at New Jersey City University. During his two year tenure at NJCU, Coach Flogaites posted the second best school record in the programs nine year history. Coach Flogaites left NJCU as the programs 2nd All-Time winningest coach in most career wins. He produced more wins in two years than the previous five years.
Coach Flogaites currently serves as the Head Coach for the 93' girls Olympic Development Team. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "A" License, a USSF National Youth License, National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Youth Diploma, NSCAA National and Advanced National Goalkeeping License, and a NSCAA Special Topics Course.
Coach Flogaites graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Philosophy. In 2003 earned a Master's of Health Science at New Jersey City University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy.
