TRAVIS DYSON BIO
Travis Dyson is in his second year as the Assistant Director of Coaching with the Gretna Soccer Club. He has 10 years of soccer coaching experience, which include administrating coaching clinics, camps, and working with the youth/select side of soccer. He graduated from Luther College and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management. He also holds a USSF National 'C' Coaching License and holds a USSF National Youth License. He will be assisting in all programs and registrar duties associated with the Gretna Soccer Club.
Travis Dyson’s club experience consists of being a member of the 1982 State Iowa ODP team. He played club soccer for Waukee Vision Soccer Academy and was part of the first team to win the State Cup Championship in its programs history.
Travis was also a two time National qualifier in 3 vs 3 soccer, competing in Des Moines and Indianapolis. In addition, Travis has traveled overseas to Sao Paulo, Brazil, competing and training with his club team in 1995.
Travis Dyson was a four year letter winner in high school soccer. He earned all Central Iowa Metropolitan League honors as a defender his junior year and all CIML honors as a forward his senior year. He also was recognized as Team Captain his senior year. During his high school years, his team finished as high as a #4 ranking in the State.
Travis Dyson was a four year letter winner at Luther College, a Division III program, in Decorah, IA. He was also a member of the 2001 NCAA Elite Eight Luther College Team, which finished eighth in the Nation.
