U9-U12 GSC RECREATIONAL
As a club we want to offer an opportunity for everyone. Those not willing to make the committment to the GSC Select Program are offered the opportunity to play on one of our GSC Recreational teams. Also for those not quite ready for the GSC Select Program the GSC Recreational is a great opportunity for you to hone your skills before moving up to the GSC Select Program. We have been known to have players start in the Recreational program before moving up the GSC Select Program and becoming one of the top players on the top GSC Select team for that age group.
U9-U12 GSC Recreational teams generally participate in the Sarpy County League. This league is made up of five clubs (Gretna, Papillion, Springfield, LaVista and St Columbkille). We use fields from each club, therefore travel is limited to these 5 locations.
This is normally a recreational league, although teams have a wide variety of skills and competitive nature. This is a league that a Gretna player wishing to play the game, but not necessarily committing to a higher level of competition.
Cost Layout
1. Registration Fee - $75 (per season) - part of Registration fee includes working with Director Of Coaching, Assistant Director of Coaching and/or Club trainers at least twice a month.
2. Uniform - $15 for jersey
Once the player reaches U13, they must move into one of the other leagues including the Eastern Nebraska Soccer Association (ENSA) League.
U13-U19 GSC RECREATIONAL
For those not wanting to make the committment to the GSC Select Program we offer the opportunity to play on one of our Recreational teams. U13-U19 GSC Recreational teams generally participate in the ENSA League. This league consists of any club within a 30-40 mile radius of Omaha. So clubs from Omaha, Lincoln, Fremont, Blair, Elkhorn, Papillion and Bellevue generally compete in this league.
ENSA provides various levels of competition from Division 1 to Division 4. ENSA has leagues from U9-U19 (High School).
Here we want to provide every team with the same opportunity so once again the Recreational teams have the opportunity to work with our Director of Coaching Digger Hawkins, Assistant Director of Coaching and/or one of our Club Trainers at least twice a month.
