With the 2pm-4pm gap in between sessions there will be different talks from week to week. This will include a College Talk, What is takes to be a College Player?, What is takes to play in High School?, Soccer Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Game Analysis etc. There will be supervision for the players during this two hour period. This is available to all players, but recommended for U9’s and above.
The main objective of this Winter Academy is to give players extra touches of the ball during the winter months. Conscious of burn out, this Academy will run only once a week. The Winter Academy will focus on the technical aspects of the game, the ability to pass the ball over distance, having a good first touch are essential elements of the game. There will be a lot of ball work involved helping players to feel more comfortable on the ball. Tactical aspects of the game will also be touched upon including Defending, Attacking and Possession. This Academy will gear up a player and get them ready for the Spring Soccer Season.
