More Gretna Soccer Club players than ever before are obtaining College Soccer Scholarships.

In the past 6 years we have had over 40 Gretna Soccer Club players that have achieved a College Soccer Scholarship.

GRETNA SOCCER CLUB CLASS OF 2012

In Chris Hauck's first season as a Freshman with Hastings College, Chris has scored a goal starred in over 10 games, won a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championship and competed in the NAIA National Championships.

CHRIS HAUCK - HASTINGS COLLEGE

In Breann Robarge's first season as a Freshman at Iowa Western CC, Breann helped lead the Iowa Western Reiver's to a Conference Championship and finished third at the NJCAA National Championships. During the season the Iowa Western Women's Team were ranked #1 in the Nation. 

BREANN ROBARGE - IOWA WESTERN CC

In Tim Stoltenberg's first season as a Freshman with Hastings College, Tim is yet to concede a goal, has 5 shutouts, won a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championship and competed in the NAIA National Championships.

TIM STOLTENBERG - HASTINGS COLLEGE

Sarah McGuire made Second Team All-conference honors as a Freshman for College of St Marys. McGuire had a goal and six assists in her first season.

SARAH MCGUIRE - COLLEGE OF ST MARYS

In Alicia Seachord's first season as a Freshman as a Viterbo Hawk player, Viterbo finished 15-3-1 for the season. They won the MCC Conference Championship and played in the NAIA National Championships for the first time in school history.

ALICIA SEACHORD - VITERBO UNIVERSITY

Jordan Meadows played in every game as a Freshman for College of St Marys. Jordan had 2 assists in her opening year as a CSM Flame.

After a stint at University of Nebraska Omaha, former Gretna Gunner and Gretna United player Tyler Ortlieb finds himself at Hastings College. In his first year as a Hastings Bronco Tyler made the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) 1st Team All Conference.

JESSICA SHEPHERD SIGNS FOR BETHANY COLLEGE IN KANSAS

Gretna Wyvern Goalkeeper Jessica Shepherd signs a Soccer scholarship for Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. Jessica played a big role in Wyvern's success of going from a Rec team to a NSL Premier in the space of 4 years.

We wish Jessica all the best in her new venture and are very proud of her!

WISCHMANN SIGNS FOR THE BRUINS

Paige Wischmann (pictured above) joins the Bellevue soccer program from Papillion-La Vista High School.  Wischmann played her club soccer with the Gretna Remix under coach Digger Hawkins.  Her size, speed and technical ability will put her in the hunt for major minutes straight away.

KELSIE GRGURICH SIGNS FOR THE DOANE TIGERS

Gretna Remix's top goalscorer Kelsie Grgurich signs for the Doane Tigers. Grgurich scored 8 goals in just 12 games last season and is one of six recruits for the Tigers this year.

LINDSEY LAMBERT AMONGST LADY BLUES 2009 SIGNING CLASS

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn head soccer coach Tim Collins has announced seven future Lady Blues have signed to play for the Lady Blues beginning in the 2009 season. Washburn is coming off its second NCAA Tournament appearance reaching the second round going 15-7-2.

"We're extremely excited about our recruiting class," Collins said. "We brought in players who can contribute right away and will push our returning players for playing time this fall.

MERYDETH CUMMINGS SIGNS FOR NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE

Gretna Remix defender Merydeth Cummings signs for Northwest Missouri State. Merydeth joint winner of the 'Best Defensive Player of the Year 2008/2009' Award played both as a defender and midfielder for Remix. She was also part of the Nebraska ODP 91 Girls team coached by Digger Hawkins and Ivonne Valentin that made history by becoming the first Nebraska ODP team to win the Region II ODP Championship in July 2008.

KRISTIN JONES DREAMED FULFILLED

Kristin Jones fulfills a dream by signing for Rockhurst University. The Gretna Remix central midfielder/forward who represented the State of Nebraska for the Nebraska ODP 90 Girls team joins a number of recruits at the Rockhurst Hawks.

Gretna Remix coach Digger Hawkins said "Kristin Jones is a gifted soccer player is very good technically on the ball, I know she will do well at Rockhurst".

Well done Kristin and we look forward to how well you do at Rockhurst!

DANA SIGNS GRETNA REMIX DEFENDER

The Dana College Women's Soccer Team announced the signing of Brittany Reed of Bellevue West High School to a national letter of intent of Monday afternoon.

Reed, a senior defender from Papillion, Neb., played club soccer for Gretna Remix coached by Digger Hawkins.

"Brittany is a very smart defender, who can help us out right away" commented Head Coach Shad Beam. "She has the talent to help anchor our back line for the next four years."

Reed plans to major in Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine at Dana College. She is the daughter of Tim and Bonnie Reed.

Congrats Brittany!

KARA NAUMANN BECOMES A WILDCAT

Kara Naumann joins Wayne State College and becomes a Wildcat. Kara becomes the 9th Gretna Remix player to sign a letter of Intent.

Remix Coach Digger Hawkins said "Kara is a versatile player that can play as a Forward, Winger, Outside Midfielder or as an Outside Back. She is very quick. She will give Wayne State plenty of options and I wouldn't be suprised if she becomes a starter as a Freshman."

GRETNA REMIX SOCCER PLAYER SIGNS WITH THE CSM FLAMES!

Ladies and gentleman, did you know that Ramsey Miller plays her club soccer with the Gretna Remix team. Ramsey's Remix team helped the Flames train in the fall season by coming and practicing with us in August.

Ramsey is excited to begin the occupational therapy program at CSM. A number of the soccer players at CSM are in the OT program. It is a great major where you can get both your bachelor's and your master's degree in only 5 years. Ya!

Ramsey will be a wonderful addition to the recruiting class of 2009 and the coaching staff looks forward to training her. Our recruiting class numbers a strong 4 right now and we are planning an signing a few more. Stay tuned to this space for more info.

MACKENZIE LEAHY MAKES IT A DANA DOUBLE

Another Gretna Remix defender Mackenzie Leahy makes it a double by signing for Dana College. She is the second Gretna Remix player to be signed by Dana College.

Remix coach Digger Hawkins added "Mack is not necessarily the greatest trainer in the world but come game time she is ready and will give 150% and more. She is great to be around and really brings the best out of people not only on the soccer field but off it to".

Kelsey Stark a member of the double winning NSL Premier Champions U18G Gretna G-Force has verbally committed to Doane College. We congratulate Kelsey for all her hard work in achieving a Soccer scholarship at Doane College.

MIDFIELD MAESTRO EMILY FLEMING BECOMES A BULLDOG

Midfield maestro Emily Fleming of the U18G Gretna G-Force becomes a Bulldog by signing for Concordia University in Seward, NE.

Emily has played for Gretna Soccer Club her entire youth career playing for the 2 time NSL Champions Gretna G-Force. She also plays for the Gretna HS Girls and has represented the State of Nebraska by playing for the Nebraska Olympic Development Program (ODP) 92 Girls.

Emily's hard work has paid of and she is very deserving of this soccer scholarship.

Tough tackling Kailey Stoupa earns a soccer scholarship with Morningside. Kailey was a member of the U18G Gretna Real team.
