Gretna Soccer Club

Dave recently gave up his position as the Gretna High School Varsity Coach. In his final year as Head Coach, Dave took the team to the State Final.

Dave has been involved with the HS program since 2002, the first year Gretna made the State Tournament. They were Runner-up in 2002, and won State in 2003. The HS team has made it to State every year since, for 8 consecutive years.

The HS program continues to evolve and is among the top 5 teams in the State each year. Each year, the team also continues its tradition of having multiple players named to the 1st Team All State.

Dave began coaching in 1989 and has coached at the club level for the past 20 years. Dave has coached multiple teams in the Premier Division for both Arsenal and Gretna, including both boys and girls teams (Arsenal Titans and Gretna La Nina). Dave is the current Head Coach for the U12G Gretna La Verde.

Dave has been on the Board of Directors of both the Millard Star Arsenal program as well as Gretna Soccer Club for nearly 19 years, serving as President to both clubs over the years.

Dave has been on the ENSA Board of Directors and has been a league referee as well.

Dave was named the 'Volunteer of the Year 2009' in Nebraska and was voted the 'Regional Volunteer of the Year 2009' and went onto become one of only five nominees for the the 'National Volunteer of the Year 2009'.
